NICE! I wish the Kaliffa were still available.

  • krige says:

It is still available, with a different name and slightly different shape. Now it’s called “Brikka”.

hahaha – I love the fact that everyone who’s commented on this is amazed at the 3 sugars! It’s exactly what I thought! Ditch the sugar!

    Mmmm..yummy..

  • serpensphile says:

It depends on the water and coffee you use. I’ve been using a moka and brika for years. With the right coffee and right grind, it’s perfect. I had a Starbucks Barista Zia Espresso machine and NEVER made a decent shot!!! Just work with her……..

  • Kyranoboss says:

I thinks its a sort of coffee treekle he is making.

  • krige says:

What is a treekle? He is making who?

  • Kyranoboss says:

I meant treacle!! The crema produced by this pot is far superior to my standard bialetti. But the nespresso machine is also good and a lot less hastle.

  • uluuluululu says:

wow… you show us how to put water in a coffee machine, how to put coffee into it, how to fire up an oven, how to put a coffee machine on the oven… wow fuck me i am enlightened now… wait – how to drink coffee??? please make a video on that…

  • tehblizz says:

    I agree

  • evilstig2 says:

what the fuck were you expecting? all these videos have the same format.

  • StovetopEspresso says:

Yes, I have a Brikka, which I like very much, but I liked my Kaliffa better. Unfortunately I managed to break it. =(

And I would pay double regular price for true Bialetti 10-cup filters/gaskets. Oddly, they’re not available as a replacement product and the Bialetti Class 10-cup stovetop unit requires them. 9-cup size are easy to find, but no 10′s. (Eern when advertised as 10′s)

  • streamr89 says:

what grind of coffee do u use for this??

  • priced80 says:

im not surprised that hes using sugar, he put 6 tea spoons of coffee in there. Jesus christ you could resurrect a dinosaur with that amount of caffeine. Go easy people caffeine isnt good for you, although it is nice.

  • krige says:

@priced80 That’s why we drink only of few sips of that coffee and not a full glass like that obtained by drip brewing :)

  • krige says:

@streamr89 It’s Caffè Aiello, my favourite brand :)

  • priced80 says:

@krige but hasnt that few sips got the same amount of caffeine in?

  • priced80 says:

    @expealidocious888 exactly

  • priced80 says:

@krige @krige but hasnt that few sips got the same amount of caffeine in? i used to drink coffee like this when i worked in a restaurant but coffee from these machines with the packets of ground coffee just seem extremely strong and bitter, which is probably why you need sugar

  • krige says:

@priced80 An espresso cup has about as much caffeine as a cup of strong coffee, but servings for espresso are much smaller, which means that the content of caffeine per milliliter are much higher than with a regular brew. Caffeine is more quickly assimilated when taken in concentrated dosages, such as an espresso cup.

  • priced80 says:

@krige Well I did not know that. You could probably come and teach on my neuroscience PhD.

  • priced80 says:

@priced80 only joking. Yeah i suppose you are right, it is probably digested a bit quicker depending on what you already have in your stomach. Which is probably nothing in the morning.

  • krige says:

    @priced80 I probably couldn’t, I got that information from the web :)

  • krige says:

@priced80 actually espresso is usually taken after the meal because it is said to help digestion. I never drink it with an empty stomach.

  • dogmats says:

    love it
